Call it an aperture, peep, or pinhole, they all produce the same thing; depth of field. Make a little hole with your fingers or your hand and when you look through it, WOW! But put your thumb in the field of view and you can see the depth of field that it produces. Now think of what a pinhole can do for iron sight guns; both sights and the target in focus at the same time. Can it be true for archers too? Definitely.
